Cookies and analytics

• We use Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID G-36Q26X0TEW) only if you accept analytics cookies via our cookie banner
• Essential cookies needed for the site may still be used
• You can change your mind by clearing site data or contacting us
• Our website host, Base44, also collects basic visit statistics to run and secure the site: the pages viewed, how you arrived, your device, country and how long you stayed. These don't use cookies, only a random session ID stored in your browser, and don't include your name or email. They run whatever you choose on our cookie banner. You can block them with your browser's settings.

Microsoft Clarity: if you accept analytics cookies, we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our site through anonymised heatmaps and session replays. Clarity masks text you type and sets cookies such as _clck and _clsk. Data is processed by Microsoft; see https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement. If you reject cookies, Clarity does not load.

Sharing

• We do not sell personal data
• We may share data with service providers hosting our email, website and analytics, under contract
• We may share data with professional advisers or authorities where required by law

Retention

• Enquiry messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and for reasonable business records, then deleted or anonymised
• Outreach records (who we emailed, when, and any reply) are kept for 12 months. Do-not-contact entries are kept indefinitely so opt-outs keep working.

Business outreach

We sometimes email limited companies once to introduce our services, using contact details the business publishes itself, such as on its website, and the company details on Companies House. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in finding new business customers. We keep a record of who we emailed, when, and any reply. If you ask us to stop, we add your address to a do not contact list, which we keep so that we never email you again. Our emails contain no tracking pixels and we do not track whether you open them. Links in our emails carry a campaign tag, so if you accept analytics cookies on our site, Google Analytics can count visits that came from our emails in total. It does not tell us who you are. If you'd rather not hear from us, reply "STOP" or "no thanks", or email hello@teksupport.co.uk, and we'll stop straight away.

Website chat

Our website chat is an AI assistant, not a person. If you use it, we store your chat messages, and if you ask to book a review, the name, email address and short description of your need that you give us, so we can answer your question and reply to you. The chat runs on Base44, our website host, and your messages are sent to an AI model provider to generate replies. Please do not share passwords, bank details or other sensitive information in the chat. We aim to delete chat logs within 90 days, and review requests are kept in the same way as other enquiries, as described under Retention.

• You can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal data

Children

• This site is aimed at businesses
• We do not knowingly collect personal data from children
